Graphic Designer;
Contracted to the in-house creative services team at Northlands Park. Designed promotional material including brochures, posters, and advertisements as well a variety of internal communications pieces.
Graphic Designer;
Responsible for the ongoing print and web design for Community Networks. From client meetings to final web uploads, I have created a visual identity and associated logos, stationary, promotional material and websites.
Production Artist;
In the fast-paced environment at the Edmonton Examiner/ Edmonton Sun, I turned client supplied content into completed advertisements. Created ads and newspaper features from scratch, quickly and under tight deadlines.
Ad Processor;
As part of the team at the Edmonton Journal, I was responsible for high daily volumes of advertising material with tight deadlines. Used industry-standard design and publishing software to create and modify advertisements.
Education
Visual Communications Design;
Grant MacEwan College, 2000 - 2002
Learned design theory, typography, creative thinking and effective illustration. Successfully managed projects from initial concept, through production, and final presentation. Developed creative solutions using industry standard software and production methods.
Skills
Currently proficient with design software such as QuarkXpress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Dreamweaver, and Macromedia Freehand; I also have in-depth experience with HTML and CSS.
